Delphi advisor to the sellers of Fortlax AB in connection with the sale of all shares to ECODC AB
Delphi has advised the sellers of Fortlax AB in connection with the sale of all shares to EcoDataCenter (ECODC AB).
Fortlax AB was founded in 2004 and is today the leading data center in northern Sweden, localised in Hortlax outside of Piteå. Fortlax offers safe, simple and effective solutions for storage and backup of digital business-critical information. ECODC AB is the first climate-positive datacenter in the world for colocation, HPC and wholesale/hyperscale. The company’s facility, located in Falun, runs entirely on renewable energy sources. Heat recovery enables the company to reuse heat from the data center for production of wood pellets and production of heat to the district heating system. The merger entails a strengthened position on the market for data centers in the Nordic. In connection with the sale, a re-investment was made by some of the operative owners, who thereby remain as owners in the merged business and aim towards further joint investments and development within the industry.
Delphi’s team consisted of Fredrik Mörner and Therese Virgin.
