Elisabeth Eklund has been appointed Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network
Elisabeth Eklund, partner and responsible for Delphi´s EU and Competition law team, has been appointed as one of several Non-Governmental Advisors by the Swedish Competition Authority within the authority’s participation in the International Competition Network (ICN), in the Cartel Working Group. Elisabeth Eklund has previously been active as Non-Governmental Advisor to the Unilateral Conduct Working Group which aims to increase the understanding of issues related to unilateral conduct, e.g. as regards abuse of a dominant position. The Cartel Working Group addresses the challenges of anti-cartel enforcement, including prevention, detection and investigation and punishment of cartel conduct.
– I am proud of the trust to act as external advisor to the Swedish Competition Authority within the framework of the International Competition Network, ICN’s important work. I look forward to contributing with experience from almost 25 years of assisting companies with strategic advice regarding cooperation between competitors, as well as cartel investigations carried out by the Commission and the Swedish Competition Authority and court proceedings regarding alleged cartels, says Elisabeth Eklund.
ICN is an informal network of over 100 competition authorities worldwide with the common goal to address issues related to the application of competition rules and competition policies. The Non-Governmental Advisors consist of lawyers, in-house counsels, competition economists, academics, judges, among others. The assignment refers to the period 1 August 2023 to 31 May 2025.
