Delphi assisted Södra in bringing EU antitrust investigation to a close

Delphi, with Skadden as co-counsel, assisted Södra skogsägarna ek för (“Södra”) in an investigation by the European Commission in the wood pulp sector.

Following unannounced inspections at Södra’s premises starting 12 October 2021, where Delphi assisted, the European Commission carried out its investigation against several companies in the wood pulp sector. Following a preliminary review process and assessment of evidence, the Commission decided on 15 June 2023 to close the investigation.

Södra was also assisted by economists at RBB and Compass Lexecon.

The case was handled by a team led by Elisabeth Eklund assisted by Karin Roberts whereas Skadden’s team was led by Ingrid Vandenborre, RBB’s team by Benoît Durand and Niklas Strand and Compass Lexecon’s team by Jorge Padilla.
