Delphi continues strong growth as firm marks 40th anniversary
The law firm Delphi celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. For four decades, Delphi has delivered first-class legal advice to its clients. The firm is on a strong growth trajectory and has ambitious plans for the future.
Delphi is a progressive law firm primarily active in the fields of capital markets, M&A, litigation and arbitration, environment, EU and competition, IT and communication, as well as outsourcing, but has recognized specialists in most areas of business law. In 2023, Delphi’s turnover amounted to over 500 MSEK with a turnover growth of approximately 12 percent – and Delphi has ambitious plans to further expand its operations.
– We aim to maintain a strong profitability throughout the firm as a whole, and we aspire to grow faster than the industry. In a fast-moving world, willingness to change and commitment to understanding each client’s unique needs are crucial to succeed. By combining deep business understanding with innovation, we offer tailored service with the best outcome in mind, says Stefan Erhag, Executive Partner at Delphi.
Delphi has a strong sustainability profile with a focus on climate and environment, gender equality and diversity, as well as CSR, which permeates the entire firm’s operations. Some of Delphi’s recent sustainability achievements include:
- A new reduction plan to reduce the company’s climate footprint has been adopted
- Climate compensation for remaining emissions through certified projects to increase carbon sequestration in Swedish forests has been initiated
- With one-third female partners, Delphi broke through the 30% barrier
- Delphi’s “Parental Group” was named Initiative of the Year 2023 by Justitiapriset
- A new code of conduct and supplier code of conduct has been implemented
– Being a sustainable partner and workplace is a significant and important part of our business plan and crucial to our success. By actively working to reduce our environmental impact, promote diversity and inclusion, and support community engagement, we strive to be a positive force for change. Our sustainability efforts also include offering our clients expertise and advice in sustainability law to help them navigate through an increasingly complex and demanding sustainability agenda, says Stefan Erhag.
Delphi was founded by Staffan Bergling, Sven-Göran Alm, and Per Berglöf in Stockholm in 1984. In the late 1990s, Linköpings Juridiska Byrå, Arnerius & Partners in Malmö and Friman & Carlander in Gothenburg joined Delphi – making it a national firm. Today, the firm consists of approximately 210 employees, of which about 150 are lawyers. The core of Delphi’s business is, and has always been, to pave the road forward, by challenging each other, clients and the industry, always aiming for the main objective – the best outcome.
With 40 years of legal legacy, Delphi has achieved great success. Delphi has received numerous awards in Sweden’s largest client survey, Law Firm of the Year, and in the legal industry’s equality award, Justitiapriset. Delphi is also top ranked in several categories by international ranking institutes such as Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. Additionally, the firm is certified, for the third consecutive year, as a great workplace through the world’s largest employee survey, Great Place to Work®.
